Theater Expansion

We worked with a downtown theater group on a feasibility study for the below grade expansion of their existing facility. Doubling their existing footprint, the plan for the enhanced facility includes a new black box theater, an upgrade of the existing theater, additional rehearsal areas and event space. A new façade and lobby will create a more inviting and dynamic presence in the community, while new elevators and egress will improve circulation. Our services involved programming, extensive NYC Zoning and Building Code analysis to determine what is possible within their existing building as well as for potential development of the adjacent parcels.
