The renovation of a 17,000-SF penthouse office with a roof deck provides a new shared workplace for three distinct firms sharing common amenities such as a large conference center, library, coffee bar and dedicated independent development areas. Natural light from four exposures and large skylights floods into generous individual and shared areas, the latter of which offers myriad opportunities for collaboration and cross-pollination of ideas among users.
Shared spaces radiate from a central “piazza” that also leads to a shaded rooftop space to work, socialize, and share ideas. Despite having different tenants, wood louvered walls tie the overall space together, while slatted openings in the wood not only enable light to filter through, but also act as windows into the unique, colorful worlds in which each occupant resides.
