A new duplex apartment with exceptional daylight and views is transformed from a grand Park Avenue residence to a contemporary, family-friendly home by embracing a “gallery spirit,” with a 25-foot-long hall for artworks. Handcrafted, custom installations are designed for every room to complement its striking pre-war bones, while transcending any specific era, such as the private elevator vestibule’s paneling of rosewood, white lacquer and bronze. The color palette grows subtly more intense as one approaches the more private zones.
