This top-floor historic loft is being transformed into a light-filled, open studio space to house an expansive art collection.
In the rear, arched openings provide borrowed light and views of (one of) the new steel stairs to the new mezzanine. In the front, a new steel framed arch at the entry mirrors existing masonry arches, opposite.
Nearing completion, the rich palette of material finishes is being revealed. Above, a plastered arch will be complimented by warm woods, blackened steel walls and stairs and pops of color.
