The construction for this modern Hudson Valley home requires demanding and extensive infrastructure and site work. After seeing the retaining walls for the impressive terraced approach to the house take shape earlier this fall, we are now pleased to see that the dramatic foundation walls have been poured. Framing will follow in December.
Rendering of site and house.
This high-performance house in the Hudson Valley, NY will be shared by two families and guests, and is designed as two modern gable volumes around a central, lodge-like public space that overlooks the valley below. To conserve energy, Passive House construction principles are integrated, positioning the house on its hilltop site to capture maximum daylight and natural breezes inside as well as outside.
Construction is expected to be completed in Spring 2021.
