Chelsea Apartment
New York, NY
To transform this 800-square-foot apartment into a spacious and light-filled place, we removed walls to bathe the space in sunlight, and added full-height glass partitions and high-gloss lacquered ceilings to brighten every inch. Historic details restored include crown moldings, door surrounds and window frames. Kitchen cabinets in white, natural fir and two alternating shades of green contrast with marble backsplashes. Acoustically separated ceilings, new glazing, air conditioning and central humidification make the home even more comfortable.
