Through careful layout changes and the relocation of bathrooms and a kitchen, three small studios and one-bedroom units were combined into an open, loft like three-bedroom apartment. Using a simple palette of materials while maximizing multiple exposures to gain park views, the residence feels far larger than it is. Central air-conditioning was integrated in spite of the 7-foot beams and low, 8-foot ceilings.
